Here are some of our most commonly asked questions and a list of key points to keep in mind when booking your stay. Of course, if you cannot find what you're looking for then do not hesitate to either call or email using the details provided.

What are the basics I need to bring?

At Parson Lee Farm Glamping we provide almost everything you need to enjoy a really comfortable stay. However, you will still need to make sure you are basically equipped. Here is a vital list:

. We require a fully refundable £100 deposit at the beginning of your stay and we will collect this when you arrive.

. You may want to bring wellingtons/stout boots/walking boots for outdoor use.

. You may want to bring slippers as we do not allow muddy shoes inside the yurts (a boot tray is provided).

. Make sure you have your own toiletries (don't worry, shops are situated nearby if you forget).

Will I Need a Deposit?

Yes, you will need to bring a £100 deposit which will be collected at the beginning of your stay. The deposit is fully refundable providing the yurts are properly looked after and left in a fit state.

What is a Yurt?

A Yurt was originally a circular tent of felt or skins on a collapsible framework, used by nomads in Mongolia, Siberia, and Turkey. Our Yurts are a bit different to ordinary camping tents. They are made from a strong, insulated canvas and are decorated with luxury in mind! We have kitted them out with a log burner, comfortable bedding, lanterns, a fire pit, a barbecue, charging ports and more. Yurts are traditionally used all year round due to their ability to keep occupants cosy in the winter and cool in the summer. Yurts have evolved to be the perfect structure for deflecting wind and as such they are the perfect choice for a peaceful retreat.

Can I bring my pets?

Unfortunately, due to the nature of our Yurts at present, we do not allow pets. Dogs are not allowed, however horses for example could be accommodated. Our policy on pets may change in the near future as we look to expand our site and diversify our lodgings. If you are in any doubt then please contact us in advance of your stay so that we might advise.

What is the best way of getting there?

We are a rural site although most navigation systems will manage. However, sometimes it is best to arrive in Colne and follow these directions from there:

. From Colne take the B6250 to Trawden.

. Follow signs to Wycoller Country Park, ignoring the final sign for the car park.

. Drive straight through into the village.

.Cross the ford (small stream).

. We are 3/4 of a mile up the unmade track which begins just after the ford.

Should you have any issues, please just call.

Where is the nearest supermarket?

The nearest supermarket is Sainsbury's in Colne, 4.1 miles form the site. Petrol stations are located also in Colne, around the supermarket. Visitors are more than welcome to bring their own shopping - this may be useful if you are planning to use the private barbecue facilities. Cool boxes and a communal fridge are provided for keeping fresh items cool.

Please note that there are other, smaller, local shops situated nearer by.

Will there be pubs and restaurants?

The site is well located for local amenities. There are pubs and restaurants local to the site. The nearest is The Trawden Arms which serves food and is located 2.6 miles away. If you would like any recommendations or further advice then we are happy to discuss on arrival.
